BELTON AND MANTHORPE ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
Minutes of meeting held at the School Room, Belton on Wednesday 27th May 2022 7.15PM.
1) Present: Chairman Cllr S. Syddall, Cllrs - S Thompson, Rona Hallam, Jenna Ashford, Eve Farley, Adrian Charity Clerk C.Morgan.
2) Apologies – None
3) Election of Chairman S. Thompson proposed Simon Syddall as Chair, seconded by A. Charity and agreed by all present.
4) Declaration of Acceptance: All elected Councilors declared acceptance of their roles as elected Councilors. And the relevant forms were completed
5) Minutes of the last meeting held on 27th May 2021, had been circulated and it was unanimously agreed that they were a true and accurate record of proceedings. Proposed Eve Farley, seconded Sally Thompson RESOLVED Chair to sign.
6) Approval of Annual Governance Statement and Expenditure: A Full discussion took place with all present involved. CM went through the figures and the following were RESOLVED:
6.1 Resolved -Certificate of Exemption was approved
6.2 Resolved - The Accounting Statement 2021/22 (Section 1) had been circulated to those present and unanimously approved
6.3 Resolved – Annual Governance Statement 2021/22 (Section 2) had been circulated and was approved.
7) Resolved - An investment of £37,000 for purchase of land to extend the Burial Ground was approved by all present, these monies are in a savings account, and are to be ring fenced for this purpose.
